About your guides

Simon Deeley

Simon believes that high-quality remote team-working opens up the path to a more balanced and fulfilled life, infused with meaningful, nourishing, trusting relationships.
Simon works from a base of commercial experience in engineering and technology product development. He blends in spiritual and mindful practices that boost communication and effectiveness through increased presence and self-awareness.

10 years leading teams

Simon has built and run both co-located and remote teams, working across the full gamut from startups to large multi-nationals.
His leadership style has evolved to combine complementary ideas, some from the 'fluffy' world of spirituality, and some from the 'hard' world of science and business, leading to a deep understanding of team performance — and how to build it.

What others say

"What impressed me was that he put the theories he talked about into practice"
Andy Males
Product Manager, Ocado Technology
"The result is a team that supports each other as people, talks openly about any challenges that we face, and strives to improve"
Joe Seymour
Senior Software Engineer, Ultraleap

Ryan Roghaar

Ryan's mission is to teach those who work remotely — and those who hire them — how to better work together.
Ryan is committed to the sustainability of remote work. Not only to weather the current storm but to build safe and supportive practices for those affected when it passes.
For Ryan, connection and relationships are the key.

On running a distributed company since 2005

"Good communication, mutual respect, loyalty and hard work are at the core of our company"
"Positivity, empathy, hard work and expert communication make us technically good—but the relationships we foster are what make it worth doing"

It's a personal thing

Ryan used to work relentlessly and rarely made time for the people who were important to him.
Immersion in Spanish culture led to an epiphany: personal happiness and wellbeing are paramount and relationships are the most satisfying and rewarding part of life.
Now Ryan wants to enable others to make the switch and enjoy quality relationships and more connection in their lives.
